It's easy to remember your kids' big moments - their birth, first birthday, the family trip to Disney, but the things we do day to day - the way they dance while brushing their teeth, how their face scrunches when they're mad - those moments are gone by the time we reach for our phone.
I see the love in my kid's eyes when they look at their mom. It happens in a split second and I desparately want to sear those moments into my mind.
I want to see photographs of my kids giving me that look.
I want those photographs to remind me of how I felt.
And I want you to have that too.
Real life is not rehearsed, directed, or polished.
We want to record every giggle and "watch me daddy" jump, but also feel the guilt of wanting to stay present
and feel them warming our hearts.
One day they'll look for photographs of themselves, what will they find?
I approach each session as a photographer, but also as a dad, with a deep understanding of the calmness we feel in those quiet sips of coffee before they're awake to the joyful hugs as if they haven't seen us in days.
